Honeymoon in Morocco

I can’t believe he managed to keep it a secret, but it was honestly a surprise until the day we left. The day after our wonderful wedding Chris whisked me away to Kasbah Tamadot in the High Atlas Mountais. It was the perfect place to unwind after what had been a pretty crazy few months.

Once we were well rested and far too well fed, we collected bikes and headed higher up in to the mountains to the village of Imlil, to do a few days of steep mountain biking, follwed by long massages.

Hot work, but well worth it for the stunning mountain views as we cycled through small Berber villages.

Then back to more relaxation, good food and lots of wine….

Breakfast at Kasbah Bab Ourika which is located high up on a hilltop, at the apex of the Ourika valley, it looks down to the river, green fields and groves of olives, oranges and lemons, and up to the dazzling snowy mountain peaks.

Sun, sea, fresh fish and lots of champagne at La Sultana in Oualidia

And finally back to Soctland, bringing the sunshine, and a tiny pair of Moroccan pjamas with us, to spend a few days with our beautiful daughter.

Thank you gorgeous husband, it was amazing! x
