Over the past few years, there has been enormous pressure on retailers to have in-season sales, to follow the ‘Black Friday’ trend. This discounting model might work for faceless high street retailers, but we believe that not only is it damaging for small businesses by creating a discounting mentality, but that it is also very unfair on our customers. We know how frustrating it feels to buy something fully priced and only then to receive an email with a discount promotion the following day.
At Katie & Jo, we only select products of the highest quality and are committed to offering an excellent standard of customer service whether it be online or in–store. We price according to the value of the product and the service we deliver. For these reasons, we have made the decision to go back to the traditional way of having two sales per year, an end of summer and end of winter sale.
We will do our best to ensure that all our customers know about these sales in advance and there will be real discounts and bargains to be had.
We may hold occasional in-store events where we reward our loyalty customers with 10% off, however, these will be marketed well in advance and everyone who is signed up to our newsletters will benefit.
